【Position description】
The Institute of Statistical Science of Academia Sinica is seeking visionary scientists to join our interdisciplinary research community. Applications are invited for tenure-track appointments as Full/Associate/Assistant Research Fellows (equivalent to Full/Associate/Assistant Professors in Universities). This tenure-track faculty position expects candidates to have new insights into statistics, data sciences, and computer science-related fields, including artificial intelligence.

【Job description】
Academia Sinica, Taiwan's most preeminent academic research institution, offers generous research funding, travel support, faculty housing, and other benefits. The Institute of Statistical Science provides a secure and stimulating research environment, with more than 30 faculty members, supportive administrative and IT teams, and many international visiting scholars annually. Unlike the universities, our faculty members have the freedom to choose to teach or not to teach.

Research projects related to plant stress signaling. Projects will involve molecular biology (cloning, construct preparation, Crispr/CAS9 mutagenesis, genotyping of mutant and transgenic plants) and biochemistry (recombinant protein expression, protein-protein interaction, protein-ligand interaction) as well as plant physiology experiments.

The applicant should specialize at least one of the following fields: (1) GeoAI; (2) Geo-Computing; (3) Computational Social Science; or, (4) Geographic Information Science related research.

Perform numerical simulation and analysis of atmospheric cloud model and precipitation particle motions.

1)Long-standing research interest in the crosstalk between immune and metabolic signaling, or immunometabolism, and its impact on physiological/pathophysiological processes. Examples of study areas include (but not limited to):

1.Position: tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow, or Research Fellow)
2.Field: Socio-cultural anthropology or closely related fields, special consideration will be given to those with expertise in Austronesian studies.

Highly desirable:
• Metabolomics: Proficiency in Mass Spectrometry or NMR-based metabolic profiling and analysis.
• Systemic Interaction: Experience in studying the Immune System or the Nervous System.
• Expertise in designing and executing complex in vivo experiments. A strong background in developing, breeding, and analyzing genetically modified animal models applied to cancer biology or neuroscience.

1. Position: , Open-rank Researcher (Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow, or Assistant Research Fellow). This is a tenure-track research position (ranks corresponding to full professor, associate professor, or assistant professor in the university system) exempt from teaching duties.
2. Field: Modern History.

The position is to develop and apply nonlinear ultrafast laser spectroscopies to studies of quantum geometric phenomena and ultrafast electromagnetic responses in topological quantum metals.

The candidate will be devoted to execute laser spectroscopic experiments, analyze the data, and write manuscripts.
