      【Research Focus】
      The Lab for Cell Dynamics (LCD) investigates how cells make decisions—how they differentiate, survive, die, and interact during development and disease. We combine quantitative imaging, molecular and cellular biology, animal models, and computational approaches to uncover how cell behavior is coordinated across tissues. If you are interested in answering unknown and significant questions in biology, you will fit right in!

      We are actively investigating how cell death is spatially and temporally regulated during development in the mouse, and how it contributes to the formation of complex tissues. This project will use mouse embryonic models together with tissue-based detection and imaging approaches to investigate patterns and mechanisms of developmental cell death in the nervous system.

    5. Qualifications

      【Who we are looking for】
      We welcome candidates with a B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in biology, neuroscience, medicine, biomedical sciences, or related fields who:

      1. Enjoy learning and exploring new ideas
      2. Work well in teams and value constructive feedback
      3. Pay attention to detail and keep clear experimental records
      4. Are curious about biology

      Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas is particularly valued:
      1. Mouse handling and embryonic mouse experiments, including dissection and in utero injection
      2. Tissue preparation and histology, including fixation, embedding, and sectioning
      3. Immunostaining, fluorescence/confocal microscopy, and image analysis
      Experience with every technique is not required — we value motivation, curiosity, and willingness to grow.

    3. Salary

      Compensation is based on Academia Sinica’s standards, with adjustments based on qualifications and experience. Starting from NT$64,711/month for PhD- , NT$44,968/month for MS-, and NT$38,388/month for BS-level personnel.
