To keep up with the pace of today’s rapidly changing scientific and technological world, and to promote the internationalization of higher education in Taiwan, Academia Sinica established the TIGP in collaboration with key domestic research universities in 2002.
In order to attract more young and talented scholars to apply for the TIGP Ph.D. program, the TIGP International Summer Internship Program (TIGP-IIP) was launched in 2010. This is an intensive pre-doctoral training program that prepares all of its participating interns with the necessary knowledge and skills for future research or career development through rigorous hands-on experience.
