Academic Ethics
The Academia Sinica Ethics Committee was established to investigate alleged cases of academic misconduct, whereas the Program for Promotion of Research Integrity was established to provide research staffs with education and consultation on academic ethics, which enables the research staffs to understand academic ethics regulations, and thus yields high quality research and publications.
Human Subjects Research Ethics (IRB Review & Participants Protection)
To properly regulate human research, the collection and use of data and human specimens, respect the participant’s dignity, protect their rights, plan, review, and audit ethical matters of relevant research, the Academia Sinica is hereby establishing the Institutional Review Board for Biomedical Science Research (hereinafter, the “IRB-BM”) and the Institutional Review Board for Humanities & Social Science Research (hereinafter, the “ AS IRB-HS”).
