To encourage postdoctoral fellows to publish innovative, high-quality and high-impact academic papers, and to fund the future elite scholars for their long-term research work, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has established the Best Research Paper Award for Postdoctoral Fellows (the Award). Nineteen postdoctoral fellows from Academia Sinica have received the 2016 Award, and six of them (*) are current or former postdoctoral fellows of the Postdoctoral Fellows Program at Academia Sinica. Forty awards are granted by MOST annually, and each awardee is to receive NT$100,000 and a medal from MOST.
