【研究方向】
細胞動態實驗室（Lab for Cell Dynamics, LCD）致力於了解細胞如何做出決策——包括分化、存活、死亡，以及在發育與疾病過程中的細胞間互動。我們結合定量影像、分子與細胞生物學、動物模型及計算方法，探討細胞行為如何在組織尺度上被協調。若你對探索尚未解答且重要的生物學問題充滿興趣，歡迎加入我們！

我們目前積極研究細胞死亡在小鼠發育過程中如何受到空間與時間上的調控，以及這些過程如何參與複雜組織的形成。本研究將結合小鼠胚胎模型、組織層級的檢測與影像方法，解析神經系統發育過程中細胞死亡的時空分布與調控機制。

We are looking for candidates pursuing curiosity-driven basic and translational research who apply innovative approaches for mechanistic studies or therapeutic/diagnostic development to address physiological and medical challenges. Applicants with expertise in, but not limited to, the fields of Neuroscience, Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases, Infectious Disease & Immunology, Cancer and Intelligent Information are encouraged to apply. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in evolutionary genetics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology who are seeking to expand their hands-on laboratory experience.

Key Responsibilities

*Perform routine microbiology and molecular biology experiments, including PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, and sequencing.
*Assist with lab management, including media preparation, ordering supplies/consumables, and maintaining equipment.
*Encouraged to independently design and execute small-scale research projects.
*Participate in lab meetings and regularly present research progress.
*Provide weekly updates on experimental progress.

My lab at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), Academia Sinica, focuses on the rapid evolution of essential genes and chromosome structures. We are particularly interested in the paradox of how genes and chromosomal features critical for survival and reproduction, typically expected to be evolutionarily conserved, can instead evolve rapidly under strong positive selection. To investigate this, we integrate genetics, genomics, and cytology to uncover the causes and consequences of this phenomenon.

We are seeking 1 postdoctoral researcher to conduct and lead research projects. Candidates will earn authorship on resulting publications and will be strongly encouraged to develop and lead independent projects. Successful candidates will have opportunities to attend international conferences and visit collaborator labs in US or Canada. I’m strongly committed to supporting career development and mentorship for all team members.
