1. Eligibility: Full-time faculty at Academia Sinica (AS) and National Taiwan University (NTU) are eligible to apply.

2. Important Information:

   1. Participants from both AS and NTU should be involved in the Joint Program application; either party may submit on behalf of the team.

   2. This program values research from both AS and NTU featuring innovative, complementary and interdisciplinary qualities. In principle, teams that have previously conducted projects under this program are discouraged from re-applying.

   3. If the project involves human subjects, genetically engineered materials, or animal experiments, applications should include approved (or under review) documents from relevant committee.

   4. (Applications should be submitted in both Word and PDF formats to ntujpoas@ntu.edu.tw before the July 10, 2026 deadline, with the subject line reading “Application for 2027 National Taiwan University and Academia Sinica Innovative Joint Program_ (NTU Project Director name) / (AS Project Director name)”.

   5. Approved proposals will receive funding for two years, from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2028. Second year funding will be granted after the annual progress report for the first year has been received and reviewed.
