Awardees from Academia Sinica
To improve the level of Taiwan’s academic research and academic status in the international community, facilitate the benefits of social development and industrial application, highlight the diverse value of Taiwan’s research efforts, and boost the country’s technological capacity, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has established the Outstanding Research Award to reward the scientific and technological talents who devote themselves to basic or applied research. Up to eighty awards are granted by the MOST annually, and each awardee is to receive NT $900,000 and a certificate from MOST.
