In honor and memory of Dr. Ta-You Wu for his contribution to the development of science and technology, the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) has established the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (the Award). The Award is to nurture young researchers, and is bestowed upon individuals who have dedicated themselves to long-term outstanding research work.
Forty-four researchers have been awarded the 2022 Award. Each awardee is to receive a medal and a reward of NTD $300,000 from NSTC. The six awardees from Academia Sinica are Chih-Yu Wang, Associate Research Fellow, Research Center for Information Technology Innovation; Hau-Yu Liu, Assistant Research Fellow, Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics; Chien-Chih Lin, Associate Research Fellow, Institutum Iurisprudentiae; Hsiung-Lin Tu, Assistant Research Fellow, Institute of Chemistry; Kwan-Nang Pang, Associate Research Fellow, Institute of Earth Sciences and Ming-Jung Liu, Assistant Research Fellow, Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center.
