To encourage postdoctoral fellows to publish innovative, high-quality and high-impact academic papers, and to fund the future elite scholars for their long-term research work, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has established the Best Research Paper Award for Postdoctoral Fellows (the Award). Twenty-one postdoctoral fellows from Academia Sinica have received the 2017 Award, and fifteen of them (*) are current or former postdoctoral fellows of the Postdoctoral Fellows Program at Academia Sinica. Forty awards are granted by MOST annually, and each awardee is to receive NT $100,000 and a medal from MOST.
