Postdoctoral Researcher in Family Change and Low Fertility in East Asia
The Institute of Sociology, Academia Sinica invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join a research program on family change, partnership formation, and low fertility in Taiwan and East Asia over a 2-year period (with renewal possibility). The position offers opportunities to develop independent publications within the broad themes of the project. The position involves no teaching load and also provides mentorship toward publication in leading journals. The position is particularly suitable for early-career researchers seeking to establish an independent publication record in family demography and population studies.

The research program seeks to understand how contemporary demographic change—including delayed partnership formation, rising singlehood, marriage, cohabitation, changing gender relations, persistent low fertility, birth outcomes, and social inequalities—is reshaping family life in Taiwan and East Asia. Through nationally representative survey data and comparative research, we aim to contribute to broader theoretical debates on family change, inequality, and demographic transformation.

Responsibilities

徵求東亞家庭變遷與低生育研究博士後研究員
中央研究院社會學研究所鄭雁馨教授誠徵一名博士後研究員，參與一項為期兩年的研究計畫，主題聚焦於台灣與東亞社會的家庭變遷、伴侶關係形成與低生育現象。本職缺提供博士後研究員在計畫範圍內的研究主題中發展獨立論文的機會，並提供以國際重要學術期刊發表為目標的研究指導與支持。
本研究計畫旨在探討當代人口變遷如何重塑台灣與東亞社會的家庭生活，包括伴侶關係形成延後、單身人口增加、婚姻與同居型態轉變、性別關係變化、持續低迷的生育率、生育結果，以及社會不平等。透過全國代表性調查資料與跨國比較研究，本計畫期望對家庭變遷、不平等與人口轉型等更廣泛的理論討論做出貢獻。

本團隊長期從事氣候變遷、空氣品質與大氣環境相關研究，徵求行政助理一名，主要協助研究計畫之行政事務、經費報帳與團隊支援工作。
工作內容包括：
• 辦理研究計畫經費報帳、核銷、採購及相關行政流程
• 協助團隊聯繫、會議安排與日常行政庶務
• 支援簡報、報告與計畫成果資料之初步整理
• 視需要偶爾協助溫室採樣或相關活動

Academia Sinica, Taiwan, invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology (ICOB). The initial appointment is for a period of three years (renewable for a second term), and will also carry the title of Research Fellow.

As the pre-eminent academic research institution in Taiwan, Academia Sinica is devoted to basic and applied research in life sciences, mathematics and physical sciences, humanities, and social sciences. ICOB currently consists of 22 laboratories, several of which are located at the Marine Research Station in Yilan County. 1. 研究並解析病毒與宿主間蛋白質複合體的結構和功能。

2. 探討並剖析細胞代謝調控下 RNA 甲基轉移酶的活性機制。

參與電腦視覺、人工智慧與機器學習相關研究，目前本實驗室的研究聚焦於開發deep learning架構與演算法在電腦視覺的應用。研究重點如下: (1) Generative Computer Vision Techniques; (2) Image and Video Anomaly Detection and Localization; (3) Computer Vision Techniques for 3D Point Clouds; (4) Video Action and Activity Recognition; (5) Multimodal/VL Foundation Models Inspired Computer Vision Techniques; (6) Self-Supervised Learning for Computer Vision Applications; (7) Deepfake Detection & Security; and (8) VLA models for Robotics.
