Our research team is seeking 1–2 motivated Research Assistants to join us in studying the ecology and evolution of microbial symbiosis in plant–microbe systems. We integrate field ecology, molecular microbiology, and genomic analyses to understand how microbial communities assemble and adapt across hosts and environments. This position is open until filled.

Job description (Tasks are flexibly assigned; not all are required)
- Conduct field sampling, mostly in roadside, urban, and agricultural environments
- Isolate, culture, and maintain rhizobia strains and associated host plants
- Perform microbiological and molecular experiments (e.g., DNA extraction, NGS library preparation, sequencing)
- Design and conduct genomic experiments and analyses
- Perform bioinformatic analyses (e.g., genome assembly, annotation, and phylogenomics)
- Manage routine laboratory tasks and other assigned duties
工作內容（彈性分配，非所有項目皆為必須）：
- 田野採樣（主要於道路、都市綠地及農業環境）
- 共生菌株與宿主植物之分離、培養與維護

『資料科學統計合作社』（主持人：張源俊老師）
提供學界及業界之統計諮詢合作與服務，進行資料分析等相關業務（如：資料前處理，資料庫建置，資料分析，報告撰寫等）

去碳燃氫技術為將天然氣裂解為氫氣與固態碳，並利用氫氣進行燃燒發電，以解決天然氣發電的排碳問題。本職務工作內容為協助研發高效率裂解技術、系統驗證測試及規模化試驗等。

研究領域為海洋生態及海洋生物多樣性。歡迎所有海洋生態研究相關領域，尤其是珊瑚礁生態及生物多樣性研究學者申請。申請人之研究方向能充份利用本中心之綠島海洋研究站，以進行綠島周邊海洋生態研究調查，將獲優先考慮。

【研究方向】
細胞動態實驗室（Lab for Cell Dynamics, LCD）專注於利用跨領域的量化技術包括：單細胞縮時攝影，雙光子影像技術，數學模型／電腦模擬與大數據分析，深入研究重要而未解的生命之謎。目前著重在細胞分化與死亡在癌症生成和胚胎發育過程中的神秘角色。使用的生物模型包括癌細胞、幹細胞、類器官（organoids）以及模式動物。

兩項核心研究計畫：
1. 細胞死亡如何在發育過程中形塑胚胎？
2. 正常細胞與癌細胞如何以不同方式回應環境壓力？

The lab of Ka Wai Ma is inviting application working on a NSTC-
funded project titled Transcriptome-guided combinatorial gene
editing to understand plant-microbiota homeostasis. The Ma lab
uses both gnotobiotic Arabidopsis and the associated bacterial culture
collection to understand the principles governing plant-microbiota
homeostasis. Our research employs a multitude of omics techniques
including 16S amplicon sequencing, transcriptomics and proteomics
for functional analyses. The lab is currently looking for a motivated
candidate to work on a CRISPR editing project with subsequent
phenotyping.

馬家威實驗室現誠聘研究助理/博士後，從事由國科會資助【以轉錄組
導向進行組合基因編輯以了解植物微生物相的平衡機理】項目。本實驗
室使用阿拉伯芥模型系統和相關的微生物庫進行植物微生物相重組實驗
以了解植物微生物群互動平衡機理。實驗室使用擴增子測序、轉錄組學
及肽組學分析等技術，並提供相關技術培訓。

1. 利用人工智慧協助，設計並工程化以螢光蛋白為基礎的生物感測器，應用於細菌（E. coli）。
2. 以大腸桿菌表現並帶有His標籤的重組蛋白進行純化，以及對純化後的生物感測器進行生化／生物物理性質之分析。
3. 以螢光顯微鏡進行高時空解析度的哺乳動物細胞活體成像。
4. 行政相關工作，如經費管理，行程安排，差旅與報帳等。
