      【Position Description】
      Academia Sinica invites applications from interdisciplinary scholars with an international perspective and strong potential for academic leadership to join its research community as Assistant Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow, or Research Fellow (equivalent to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor at a university).
      Applicants must demonstrate outstanding research achievements in behavioral science, institutional design, economics, or related fields. Candidates should be capable of integrating theoretical and empirical approaches and advancing innovative insights into public policy, market design, social institutions, organizational behavior, experimental economics, political economy, and data-driven decision-making.
      This position particularly welcomes scholars who are able to bridge research methods and theoretical frameworks across behavioral science, economics, management, sociology, data science, law and economics, and related disciplines. Applicants are expected to actively contribute to the Center’s major research initiatives, including:
      ●Public Policy and Institutional Design
      ●Evidence-Based Governance and Sustainable Transition
      ●Innovation and Technological Development
      We seek candidates whose research responds to contemporary societal and global governance challenges, and whose work contributes substantively to institutional optimization and policy innovation.

      【Responsibilities and Benefits】

      Research fellows will be expected to:
      1.Develop internationally influential research agendas and publish in leading international journals.
      2.Lead or participate in interdisciplinary research teams, advancing the application of behavioral science and institutional design to public policy, economic governance, and social innovation.
      3.Apply for and manage domestic and international research grants, and mentor postdoctoral researchers and research assistants.
      4.Organize and host academic conferences, workshops, and international exchange activities.
      Newly appointed research fellows are expected to build upon their existing research foundations to establish long-term research trajectories with strong development potential. They should foster dialogue between theoretical innovation and policy practice, and enhance Taiwan’s international visibility in the fields of behavioral and institutional research.

    5. Qualifications

      1.Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a doctoral degree in a related field from a domestic or international institution recognized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education.
      2.Applicants must demonstrate the ability to conduct interdisciplinary research.
      3.Candidates who are able to complete their doctoral dissertation defense and obtain official certification by July 31, 2026, are eligible to apply.

      6.A summary of past research achievements and a plan for future research development (please present these on two separate pages)
      7.Representative publications from the past five years (for co-authored or co-edited works, list authors in their original order of authorship; for co-authored representative works, please provide a separate statement detailing your individual contributions or original insights)
      8.Three letters of recommendation.

    6. Precautions for application
