Dr. Wei Chen obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed his postdoctoral training at the Center for Nanomedicine of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
In October 2023, Dr. Chen joined the Genomics Research Center as an Assistant Research Fellow. His research focuses on drug delivery technologies, materials science, RNA nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, and biomaterials and cell engineering, with applications in cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and inflammation-related disorders. His work includes immune modulation, immunotherapy, and anti-aging strategies through cell- and gene-based therapies. Dr. Chen’s laboratory is dedicated to developing and integrating interdisciplinary technologies with the goal of overcoming key medical challenges in current disease treatments.
