Angle-resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) is one of the most powerful and straightforward research methods to study the electronic band structure of crystalline materials. In this talk, I will introduce the fundamentals of ARPES, including its physical principles, simulations, UHV technology, semi-spherical analyzers to data analysis. I will also present the capabilities of modern multi-functional ARPES stations and my recent discovery as a demo.
