This seminar presents an AI-driven computational framework addressing four IBMS priority areas: cancer, neuroscience, cardiometabolic disorders, and infectious diseases/immunology. In cancer, we introduce ergodic therapy, a paradigm that shifts malignant cells from a stable, therapy-resistant state to a vulnerable state by harnessing chromothripsis-induced mutations to destabilize anti-apoptotic and genome stability proteins (Bcl-2, hnRNPA2/B1), validated through molecular dynamics and in vitro or in vivo models. In neuroscience, we present NeuroClick and NeuroChem, AI platforms that design blood-brain barrier-permeable drugs, including nootropic anxiolytics and Alzheimer's-targeted agents with in vitro and in vivo validation. In cardiometabolic disorders, we apply multi-omics network analysis to identify novel biomarkers in Takotsubo syndrome, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. Finally, in infectious diseases, we use immunoinformatics to design multiepitope vaccines against uropathogenic E. coli and antiviral agents against HIV and Zika. These projects will serve as a foundation for an independent IBMS research program focused on population-specific disease modeling, smart nanotherapeutics, and training next-generation Taiwanese biomedical data scientists.
