Inheriting Thoughts Across Time, Exploring Horizons of Innovation.
In 1954, Academia Sinica resumed operations in Taiwan, gradually establishing a distinct academic heritage along the Sifen River. Researchers documented the era’s progress, while architects and planners articulated their vision through architecture and the master plan. The evolution of space not only reflects the development of research but also responds to humanity’s desire for a better environment.
The exhibition is divided into two sections: Exhibition 1 focuses on the early iconic buildings of the Nangang Campus, highlighting the works of postwar architects and how subsequent generations have engaged with them, showing how architecture establishes order and shapes the campus’s spatial character and spirit. Exhibition 2 presents the current development and future plans of the Nangang Campus, the National Biotechnology Research Park, and the South Campus, reflecting contemporary efforts to create a pleasant and human-friendly environment.
