"Global China" has emerged as a pivotal academic concept in the wake of China's rise. In an era of rapidly shifting geopolitical dynamics, Taiwan’s global importance and contributions are gaining unprecedented visibility. This talk introduces "Global Taiwan" as a critical conceptual counterpart to Global China—one that not only underscores Taiwan’s strategic position in the intensifying U.S.-China rivalry, but also foregrounds its evolving role as a resilient democracy, a chip-making powerhouse, and a key player in the global order.
