摘要：

My primary area of research is to describe the process of the integration with local society of the migrants arriving to Taiwan under different circumstances and with distinct cultural or religious backgrounds. I tried to pick out a few examples of religious or spiritual local communities that appear to be particularly involved in assisting and welcoming newcomers. Consequently, after several years of the gradual adaptation to the local expression of religiosity and devotions, we can notice the logical stage of passing from the own native nation or region strong commitment to the symbiosis with Taiwanese values and new manner of life. Additionally, I started examining the national and local relationship between Taiwans government and religious authorities, as well as the outcomes for the improvement of migrants situations. One more thing in my field of interest is the reflection about migrants` conversion to another religion after their personal discernment or influenced by different factors (carrier, social assistance, politics, relationship between friends, interreligious marriages, healing, or local popularity). I venture to provide some recommendations for improving the religious well-being of migrants in their different local and spiritual communities.
