This year, the Institute of Mathematics has invited Professor Andrei Okounkov, the 2006 Fields Medalist, to be the speaker of the Chen-Jung Hsu Lectures. Lecturing on classical and modern topics in special functions, he hopes to introduce the charm of mathematics to a general audience.
