  • Eligibility: Students enrolled in colleges, universities, and graduate schools, and participating in research projects led by Academia Sinica (AS) researchers are eligible to apply.
  • Scholarship Amounts: Researchers may provide scholarships in accordance with the following standards:
    • For a college/university student, at most NT$12,000 per month.
    • For a master’s student, at most NT$20,000 per month.
    • For a doctoral student, at most NT$60,000 per month.
  • Payment Restrictions: The total amount each recipient receives should not exceed the maximum scholarship amount if paid by official AS budget and/or AS funds sponsored by a relevant government agency. Full-time employed students are not eligible for scholarships. Payment exceeding permitted amounts should be returned. Exceptions may be made based on special requests approved by AS.
  • Application Procedures, Review, and Evaluation: Eligible applicants should submit a photocopy of their student ID (or other documents as proof, if applicable) to the relevant institute (preparatory office) or research center upon the consent of a researcher. The institute (preparatory office) or research center should review and determine the total scholarship to be granted within the aforementioned limits. The institute (preparatory office) or research center and the researcher should commit themselves to supervising the recipient, and may continue or suspend the scholarship based on the recipient’s performance. Should scholarship recipients be involved in academic ethics violations, their cases will be processed according to the “Guidelines for the Establishment and Operation of Ethics Committees at All Levels, Academia Sinica.”
  • Funding Disbursal and Budget Verification: Scholarship recipients should submit receipts to their institute (preparatory office) or research center for funding disbursal and budget verification.
