OVERVIEW

The Cheng lab is looking for an enthusiastic and excellent
Bioinformatician to join our dynamic and competitive group
in human immunology research in the Institute of Biomedical
Sciences at Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Our research focuses on
deep-profiling human adaptive immunity during viral infection,
vaccination, or virus-associated cancer by cutting-edge technologies
including mass cytometry, single-cell sequencing methods
(Cheng et al., 2019. Science Immunology; Cheng et al., 2021. Immunity),
spatial transcriptomics, high-dimensional analysis
(Newell and Cheng., 2016. Nature Immunology), and machine learning
modeling. You will be working on exciting and complicated datasets
directly related to human health and disease. We have established
several platforms that generates high-quality data derived from
human clinical samples across infection, cancer, vaccination, and
immune-related diseases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. ASTRA consortium project: Analysis of Xenium single-cell spatial
transcriptomics data generated from a cohort of HCC patients.

2. CRS nasal atlas: Analysis of scRNA-seq dataset derived from a 32 CRS
patient cohort.

3. Analysis of scTCR-seq and scATAC-seq data.

4. Involve in all research projects in the lab to assist for data analysis.

5. Build cool tools or pipelines that facilitate data analysis.

實驗室主要研究 1) 遺傳性罕病的致病機制及檢測 與 2) 開發誘導性多能幹細胞 iPSC以及類器官疾病模式。
1. 細胞培養相關實驗。
2. 實驗動物(小鼠)實驗、飼育與管理。
3. 協助實驗室運作、行政支援、藥品耗材管理、IACUC & IRB等。
4. 其他臨時交辦事項

1. 執行 LC–MS 代謝體質譜數據處理，使用相關分析軟體進行代謝物鑑定、相對定量及統計分析。
2. 整理分析結果，製作數據圖表及實驗分析報告。
3. 參與血液、細胞、組織等生物檢體之代謝物萃取及樣品前處理。
4. 配合實驗室相關行政、庶務工作及主管交辦事項，協助實驗室日常運作。

本職位負責維護與開發實驗室自動化控制系統。需要使用 Python去控制各種硬體儀器，實現無人化自動排程。
1.介面與排程優化: 維護現有自動化系統，優化自動化排程控制邏輯。
2.機器編程控制: 熟悉工業通訊介面與協定，編寫驅動程式與控制邏輯，串接與控制實驗室各類儀器。
3.其他交辦事項。

參與電腦視覺、人工智慧與機器學習相關研究，目前本實驗室的研究聚焦於開發deep learning架構與演算法在電腦視覺的應用。研究重點如下: (1) Generative Computer Vision Techniques; (2) Image and Video Anomaly Detection and Localization; (3) Computer Vision Techniques for 3D Point Clouds; (4) Video Action and Activity Recognition; (5) Multimodal/VL Foundation Models Inspired Computer Vision Techniques; (6) Self-Supervised Learning for Computer Vision Applications; (7) Deepfake Detection & Security; and (8) VLA models for Robotics.

1. 協助執行植物分子生物學及免疫研究，包含基因轉殖、植物培養、蛋白體學、代謝體學分析，以及植物對病原體及逆境反應的研究設計與評估。
2. 負責實驗數據收集與分析，並協助撰寫實驗報告及科學論文。
3. 與團隊成員協調合作，參與跨領域合作及與機構的交流，定期分享實驗進度與結果。
4. 協助實驗室日常管理及其他相關事務。

從事腸道菌及代謝研究、幹細胞iPSC, 再生醫學、奈米醫學等相關實驗研究

1. 協助人口統計與大型調查資料之數據申請、整理與分析。
2. 協助特定家庭與人口研究主題之中英文文獻收集與整理。
3. 參與國際學術期刊論文的撰寫與發表
4. 參與歐亞跨國研究團隊會議
5. 協助其他研究行政工作與交辦事宜。

林暐翔實驗室招聘學士級助理/碩士級助理。
工作內容為30%基礎實驗工作，70%專題研究計畫 (比例可討論)。基礎工作包括藥品採購，維護儀器，準備 agar plate 跟培養液等。專題研究計畫包括微生物與分生實驗，顯微鏡實驗，微流體培養等。我們特別關注具有分子生物學，微生物學相關研究專長的對象。我們會優先考慮未來想讀碩班或博班的人。
Dr. Wei-Hsiang Lin's lab recruiting Bachelor level/Master level research assistant. Job description: 30% on basic experiments, 70% on scientific project (relative ratio can be adjusted). Basic experiments: ordering reagents, maintaining equipments, prepare agar plate and culture media, etc. Scientific project including microbiology and molecular biology experiments, microscopy, microfluidic culture, etc. We are particularly looking for people with expertise in molecular biology and microbiology. We will prioritize people who want to pursue a master or PhD degree in the future.

研究領域及方向：
海洋古生物研究室為林千翔副研究員所帶領的團隊，研究領域為海洋古生物多樣性及古魚類在時空間上的分布。生物的演化在地質紀錄裡留下許多殘破不齊的線索，結合這些化石紀錄與生態學理論可以分析特定生物類群的分布情形，並評估其背後的相關原因與生態資料。例如以魚類耳石分類為基礎，能重建特定時空的魚類群聚構造，並對魚類多樣性變化等生態問題做出貢獻。近期研究模式亦結合地質與生態保育，評估人為衝擊對海洋生態地區魚類群落的影響，在現今極具挑戰的全球環境變遷背景下，提供了嶄新的切入視角。
Research focus
•We investigate how geological and environmental changes have shaped marine biodiversity through time, with a particular focus on Neogene–Quaternary fossil fishes from the western Pacific. We are also developing research in conservation paleobiology to understand long-term human impacts on marine ecosystems.
•Our research integrates paleontology, marine biodiversity, and ecology.
