    3. Work Content

      1. Design and engineering (assited with AI) of the fluorescent protein-based biosensors in bacteria (E. coli).
      2. Purification (with His tag of E. coli-based recombinant proteins) and biochemical/biophysical characterization of the purified biosensors.
      3. Live mammalian cell imaging with a fluorescence microscope at high spatial and temporal resolution.

    4. Qualifications

      1. A Doctor’s degree in fields related to chemistry, biology, or engineering.
      2. Experience in a variety of molecular biology fields is a plus, but not mandatory.
      3. Fluent communication skills in English.

    3. Treatment

      The monthly salary starts from NT$64,711 for Ph.D. degree holders. Salary can be negotiated based on background qualifications and actual performance. This position abides to the Labor Standards Act.

      The Nasu Lab is dedicated to developing cutting-edge fluorescent biosensors that probe the core of cell biology: understanding cellular energy dynamics. By harnessing the potential of protein engineering and directed evolution, we work on illuminating the mysteries of how cells utilize energy.

      2. Position: Research Assistant
      Research Focus:
      • Biosensor Development: Enhance biosensor functionalities through innovative protein engineering.
      • Characterization: Rigorous testing and optimization of biosensors in controlled environments.
      • Application: Employing these biosensors in live mammalian cells using fluorescence microscopy, and in vivo imaging across diverse models (fly, fish, plant, and mouse), often in collaboration with international partners.

      • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
