Western international relations theories primarily focus on great power dynamics, often overlooking the position of small and medium-sized states, such as Taiwan. This research is based on the asymmetric strategic triangle model, examining how smaller nations navigate the realities of great power competition. The goal is to develop an international relations framework tailored to the needs of these states, aligning with global developments and Taiwan’s current strategic imperatives.
