【AS Conference】Exploring the hepatitis trilogy: from the perspective of causality

This study developed a causal mediation model to analyze the natural history of disease, focusing on how temporally ordered events mediate the mortality risk among patients with hepatitis B or C (hepatitis → cirrhosis → liver cancer → death). The results reveal distinct mechanisms of disease progression for hepatitis B and C.
