Aging is a process characterized by tissue function decline, but understanding the cellular changes across an organism remains unclear. Similarly, the connection between cellular aging and aging-related diseases is limited. In this talk, I will present the Aging Fly Cell Atlas (AFCA), a single-nucleus transcriptomic map of aging in Drosophila, along with other atlases related to aging-related diseases. AFCA reveals diverse aging patterns in different cell types and identifies ribosomal gene expression as a predictive factor for age. By comparing the AFCA with disease atlases, we aim to understand how aging contributes to disease development.
