From Retrospect to Prospect: Past, Present, and Future of the Ethnic Studies of Southwest China

1920至40年代，中央研究院社會研究所與歷史語言研究所（簡稱史語所）研究人員曾先後數次前往中國邊疆地區進行民族調查，並在調查中蒐集了許多的文物與文書，拍攝了許多照片及影片；這些寶貴的資料後來都進入了史語所，部分藏品也一同到了臺灣，成了這次「回望」特展的展品。主講人胡其瑞教授多年前曾服務於史語所，協助整理這批中國西南民族的資料以進行數位化與資料庫的建置，並多次前往這些藏品採集的地點進行田野調查。此次演講將介紹過往史語所在中國西南調查的點滴，並講述當代的田野歷程，以及數位時代下西南民族研究可能發展的未來。
