【摘要】

In this talk, I will introduce the interesting results of my systematic and detailed study of germanene grown on Ag(111) for 8 years by LEED, ARPES, and STM to explore both electronic and lattice sides, which collaborate with each other. Focus will be on the surprising discovery of using Pb atoms to help growing quasi-freestanding germanene and further bilayer germanene.
