【摘要】
High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (HR-ARPES) and time-resolved ARPES (Tr-ARPES) are powerful tools for studying quantum materials, providing insights into their static and dynamic electronic structures. This seminar will include an overview of the construction and optimization of Tr-ARPES systems, featuring a high-power setup that integrates high-harmonic generation (HHG) and femtosecond lasers, enabling femtosecond temporal resolution and high photon flux for ultrafast electronic dynamics studies.
Applications of HR-ARPES and Tr-ARPES will also be presented, including investigations into interlayer-coupling-driven three-dimensional charge density wave behavior in CuTe, nonthermal electron dynamics in single-crystal graphite, and orbital-dependent interactions in 1T-TiSe₂. The study on TiSe₂ reveals the interplay of electron-phonon coupling and excitonic condensation in stabilizing its charge density wave phase, providing real-time insights into quantum phase transitions and many-body interactions.
By integrating the high precision of HR-ARPES with the ultrafast capabilities of Tr-ARPES, these systems bridge equilibrium and non-equilibrium studies, contributing to a deeper understanding of quantum materials and enabling new approaches in condensed matter research.
