The 3rd International Scientific Symposium on TGFβ Signaling in Cancer and Other Diseases will be held on April 6, 2023 at the C201 International Conference Hall in National Biotechnology Research Park (NBRP). We are very grateful to invite Dr. Carl-Henrik Heldin, the Chairman of the Board of the Nobel Foundation, as well as Dr. Paraskevi Heldin, Dr. Han-Chung Wu, Dr. James Chih-Hsin Yang, and Dr. Jung San Huang to serve as the keynote speakers.
As we know the multiple functions of transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) come from its pleiotropic nature of signaling, which involves different TGF-β receptors, non-Smad pathways, and hyaluronan-CD44 signaling pathway. The dual extreme actions of TGF-β in cancer as tumor suppressor in early stages and as tumor promoter in late stage are yet originated from these different pathways. In this symposium, we will also discuss drug development in cancer and infectious diseases, as well as the mRNA technology, which has demonstrated its immense potential since COVID-19 pandemics for vaccine and drug development in infectious and other diseases.
