• These Regulations are enacted in accordance with Article 8, Item 2 of the Organization Act of Academia Sinica.
• The Convocation of Academicians will be held every two years as summoned by the President of Academia Sinica.
• The Convocation of Academicians is chaired by the President of Academia Sinica. When the President is not able to chair, one of the Vice-Presidents shall be assigned by the President to act as chair.
• The Convocation of Academicians, in accordance with Article 8 of the Organization Act of Academia Sinica, performs the following tasks:
  
  • votes for Academicians and Honorary Academicians;
  • votes for Council Members;
  • plans for the directions of national academic research;
  • is authorized by the government and relevant organizations to carry out academic planning, surveying, reviewing, and research.
• During the session of the Convocation of Academicians, important academic research papers may be presented.
• A quorum for the Convocation of Academicians is formed by over one-quarter of the total number of Academicians.
• The Council of Academia Sinica is the designated representative institution of the Convocation of Academicians.
• When Academicians are not able to attend the Convocation of Academicians, they may not ask others to represent them. However, motions can be rendered through correspondence. When it is deemed necessary, in particular cases, voting through correspondence is allowed.
• These Regulations may be amended by a motion made by 5 or more Council Members or 10 or more Academicians of Academia Sinica, and approved by two-thirds of the attending Council Members of Academia Sinica.
• These Regulations shall take effect as of the date of their promulgation.
