    3. Work Content

      The laboratory of Dr. Ting-Ying Wu at the Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology, Academia Sinica (IPMB, AS), invites applications for a fully funded Research Assistant (RA) position. The successful candidate will explore plant-environment interactions, specifically focusing on plants such as Marchantia, Arabidopsis, and potentially soybean, under environmental stresses like heat stress and clock alterations associated with global warming in high-altitude crops. This project employs systems biology and predictive biology approaches and is conducted in collaboration with Dr. Devang Mehta’s lab at KU Leuven, Belgium. The job content includes Molecular cloning, analysis of protein expression, nuclear protein extraction, and mutant plant screening.

    4. Qualifications

      • Master's degree in biology or a related field
      • Relevant research experience in molecular biology and plant biology
      • Proficient in English communication (oral and written)
      • Ability to actively participate in scientific discussions and report writing

    3. Treatment

      Academia Sinica MS degree standards: NT$44968/month or above. Merit-based prorated 1.5-month end-of-year bonus.

The Wu Lab emphasizes collaborative and interdisciplinary research among its members and maintains active international collaborations with research groups in Europe (UK and Belgium) and Canada. Research assistants will have opportunities for international visits to collaborators' labs annually, ranging from weeks to several months.
