The Biodiversity Research Center at Academia Sinica (BRCAS) invites applications for an innovative scientist specializing in vascular plant research with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
•Plant systematics and taxonomy
•Phylogenetics and evolutionary biology
•Plant ecology and biogeography
•Biodiversity and conservation -
Qualifications
Position Overview
We seek candidates with field collection-based research approaches who address fundamental questions in plant biology. The position is primarily at the tenure-track Assistant Research Fellow level (equivalent to Assistant Professor), though exceptional candidates at higher ranks may be considered.
Qualifications
• PhD in plant biology, ecology, evolutionary biology, or related field
• Strong postdoctoral research experience with demonstrated excellence
• Proven publication record in prestigious peer-reviewed journals
• Experience with field collection and taxonomic methods
• Research interests that include Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region (preferred)
