A draft for the revision of the “Information and Biospecimen Usage Fees of the Taiwan Biobank” formulated by the Taiwan Biobank has been publicly announced on 5/11 and is open for comment. Parties or individuals with dissenting opinions, proposed amendments or other related inquiries about the draft should contact the Taiwan Biobank within 14 days of the official announcement date.
The revised fee structure aims to promote domestic usage of Taiwan Biobank data in the era of Big Data and as a response to international competition in the field. To avoid fluctuations in international exchange rates, US dollar-denominated fees have also been added for international applications.
