The "Ceremony to Celebrate Exchange of Academic Texts Between Academia Sinica Taiwan and Campus Condorcet France" was successfully held on May 6, 2024, at Academia Sinica. President James C. Liao of Academia Sinica and President Pierre-Paul Zalio of Campus Condorcet exchanged symbolic books to commemorate the presentation of 382 academic texts from Academia Sinica to Campus Condorcet. Representatives from Academia Sinica's Humanities and Social Sciences Institutes and Research Center were present to witness this significant occasion.
Last May, President James C. Liao led an AS delegation to visit Campus Condorcet, France. At the time, President Pierre-Paul Zalio made a momentous announcement that Campus Condorcet will establish a "Taiwan Book Section" within the university library. This auspicious news serves as a testament to the French academic community's profound regard for researches conducted by Taiwanese scholars.
As an earnest gesture of academic exchange, Academia Sinica presented 382 volumes of books to Campus Condorcet this time. These volumes primarily stem from the publications of the 12 humanities and social sciences research units of Academia Sinica. Through this exchange of specialized humanities publications, we expect to enhance the diversity of Campus Condorcet's library collection and enrich the core collection of research materials provided by Academia Sinica scholars.
It is expected that this initiative will furnish French educators and students interested in Taiwanese humanities and social sciences research with abundant resources, thereby facilitating their endeavors in teaching and academic research.
