There were no command line arguments to LaTeX2HTML, but there were a ton of modifications to the .latex2html-init file. Another version of this file was used to generate a single HTML file of the entire guide, from which the ASCII version was generated with lynx -dump.
The translation was initiated by Bill Goffe on Saturday, March 25, 04:33 AM CST, 1995. It took 17 minutes, 19 seconds of user time on an IBM ValuePoint model 6384 (a 25 Mhz 486SX with 8 meg of RAM) running Linux, kernel 1.1.90. Approximately 18 meg of RAM and virtual storage were required.
