FAQs are Frequently Asked Questions (and answers) from the Usenet discussion system. They cover a very wide variety of topics; a quick check of recent FAQs found them on the following topics: drum corps, medical image formats, culture in Canada, European Union basics, pool and billiards, computer research, linear programming, hockey, finding craft suppliers, SCSI computer peripherals, reggae music, locksmithing, DESKview, FoxPro, cats, and electrical wiring. This document is the FAQ for the newsgroup sci.econ.research. In all, nearly 1000 different newsgroups have such documents. While some can be very useful, be sure to remember the adage: "they're worth what you pay for them."
